Meet David Sandbrand: Modern Infrastructure Senior Consultant

We’re thrilled to introduce David Sandbrand, who has joined IX Solutions as our new Modern Infrastructure Senior Consultant!

With more than 26 years of IT experience and a natural curiosity for all things tech, David is ready to put his expertise to work designing and troubleshooting solutions that help our clients grow.

David’s love of technology started early:

“As a child I could be found disassembling household electronics and any of my toys that had a motor, batteries, or power cords.”

That “geek gene” carried him into the Computer Systems Technology program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, where he studied networking, hardware, programming, database design—and even a bit of business law and calculus. Since then, he’s built a career specializing in modern infrastructure and Microsoft Azure, earning certifications like Solutions Architect Expert and Security Engineer Associate.

David says he’s looking forward to working closely with clients and helping them achieve their business goals through technology. For him, the best part of the job is “solving riddles”—whether that means troubleshooting hard-to-solve problems or designing technical solutions that drive business forward.

Outside the office

When he’s not building infrastructure, David keeps busy with a few unique pursuits. He manages several rental properties, enjoys woodworking, and is also an avid beekeeper, currently maintaining six hives and harvesting nearly 300 kilos of honey a year!
