All-around tech talent, we’re thrilled to welcome Drew Grubb to the IX Solutions team!
Drew joins us from Kamloops – his lifelong home – where he began developing his passion for all things technology from an early age. He attended Thomson Rivers University to achieve a diploma in Computer Systems, Operations and Management, later going on to kickstart his career as a software engineer focused on testing, building, and deploying automation.
Over the years, Drew has shifted through roles in DevOps, test automation and agile development processes. In his most recent experience as a DevSecOps Manager (try saying that ten times fast), he worked to develop and secure Azure resources and automation processes at a logistics, distribution, and fulfillment organization. Drew is certified in cloud fundamentals from both Azure and AWS—and he’s also a certified scrum master!
At IX, Drew will work closely with clients and our professional services team to deliver modern infrastructure solutions. Bringing a fresh perspective to the team, he hopes to be able to leverage his development background in unique ways.
“I’m excited to work with a group of people who are passionate about the work they do,” says Drew. “I am also very much looking forward to learning new technologies and refining my skillset further.”
An innate problem solver, Drew loves IT for keeping him on his toes.
“Identifying why something doesn’t work, or how to make a situation better, is extremely satisfying. Getting to then build and deliver something tangible based on that solution is the icing on the cake.”
A self-proclaimed nerd, Drew spends his free time immersed in the classics. He runs a weekly Dungeons and Dragons campaign with friends, loves hosting board game nights, and has collected miniatures (primarily Warhammer 40K) for several years. When he isn’t tied up in a game, he enjoys the great outdoors on his mountain bike.
