We’re a bit late to the game… but with nearly 20 years of experience in IT, we’re excited to welcome industry maven Matt Chapple to the IX Solutions team as a Modern Workplace Consultant!
Originally from small-town Ontario, Matt joins our team out of his home office—today in Airdrie, Alberta. In the early 2000s, he kickstarted his career studying Administration, Networking, Internet Security and Project Management at CDI College. Since, he’s made an impressive resume for himself working at leading IT consulting firms and gaining experience with many energy and service sector organizations.
Matt is a seasoned infrastructure specialist in the collaboration space, specializing in SharePoint, OneDrive, Yammer and Teams, with a core foundation in infrastructure, servers and networking. He’s spent many years building infrastructure platforms to support collaboration and ECM applications, as well as designing and supporting Azure infrastructure and O365 tenant configuration. An expert when it comes to the cloud, he’s performed several large-scale migrations in his career.
If his achievements weren’t impressive enough as it is, Matt is currently Microsoft 365 Certified as a Teams Administrator Associate, and holds a number of Nintex M365 and SharePoint automation and workflow certificates. He is A+ hardware certified and has acquired training accolades for software platforms such as HP OpenView/BTO and NAble N-Central.
Long story short? You’re in good hands.
At IX, Matt will be working closely with clients to provide project support, solution and delivery expertise from initial assessment through to planning, design and implementation. His expertise within the Microsoft service stack will come in handy for organizations leveraging these solutions both on-premises and in the cloud.
“I can’t wait to start providing value to projects and gaining hands-on experience with new and different technologies,” says Matt. “I’m really excited to find a role that will allow me to do all the fun things I love about this career.”
What are those favourite things, exactly? For Matt, it’s that every day — every project, client, and problem — is a brand new challenge.
“I love to take on difficult problems, bugs, and issues to find a solution. I love learning new technologies. And most of all, I love helping my clients succeed and solving business problems with technology.”
Outside the workplace, Matt loves spending his time fishing and camping in the great outdoors. He’s big into table-top board games, especially dungeon crawlers, which he plays regularly with his two kiddos. All summer long, you can catch him at the BBQ making beef jerky, catching up on the latest flicks, and winning at his favourite video games.
