Welcoming Dan Bascombe, Solutions Engineer
We’re excited to welcome Dan Bascombe to the IX Solutions team as our newest Solutions Engineer.
Originally from Mission, BC and now calling Calgary home, Dan brings years of experience across both technical and client-facing roles. His background spans hands-on technical work, solution design, and technology roadmapping, giving him a strong understanding of not only the technology itself, but how it can be applied to support different business needs.
Throughout his career, Dan has worked closely with clients to understand their challenges and recommend solutions that make sense for their organization. That ability to connect business needs with technical requirements has become a key focus of his work and is something he’ll continue to bring to clients at IX.
Connecting Business Needs with the Right Technology
As a Solutions Engineer, Dan will work with clients to understand what they need from their technology and help shape solutions around those requirements. Working alongside our technical teams, he’ll help ensure the solutions we recommend are practical, well-designed, and ready to be successfully delivered.
It’s an approach that aligns closely with what Dan enjoys most about his work: the opportunity to solve different problems across a variety of clients and technologies.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys taking on new challenges himself. Most recently, he decided to learn how to read music and play the piano, even earning his Royal Conservatory of Music Level 1 certification alongside (as he proudly boasts) “a bunch of seven-year-olds.”
We’re excited to have Dan on the IX Solutions team and look forward to the experience and client-focused perspective he brings to the role.
