Welcome Minh Hoang: Analyst, Modern Security

Minh joins us as an Analyst, Modern Security, bringing a well-rounded background in IT support and a passion for cybersecurity.

Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, Minh now calls Edmonton home. His journey into tech began with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, and he’s continued to build on that foundation with industry-recognized certifications—his most recent being the CISSP.

Before IX, Minh gained valuable experience working in various sectors—from the government of Saskatchewan, to an agricultural equipment company, and most recently at a personal injury law firm. Across all roles, he’s been the go-to IT resource, supporting systems and solving problems with a security-first mindset.

At IX, Minh will be focused on providing IT support with an emphasis on security, helping clients strengthen their defences while offering consultation on best practices. What’s he most excited about? The opportunity to work alongside a team of seasoned professionals and continue learning from the best in the business.

When he’s not supporting clients or diving deeper into cybersecurity, you might find Minh tinkering with his car or working on his latest musical goal: becoming a better guitar player!
