Today, we’re thrilled to welcome our first IT student on a co-op term, Narshvin Doorganah.
Narshvin is joining our team out of Kamloops, BC. As a third-year computer science student at Thompson Rivers University, he is ready to hit the ground running and gain real world experience as an IT Consultant. At school, Narshvin has honed his leadership skills by participating in extra curricular activities including involvement in Enactus and the Open Source Club.
Prior to working with IX, Narshvin gained practical experience working with a home security organization, and most recently, as an IT service desk analyst at his university. At IX, he’ll work alongside our team to assist with projects involving infrastructure modernization, active directory implementations, and workstation and server migrations.
My favourite part about IT consulting is interacting with clients to gain a deep understanding of their IT environment and challenges.
“I’m most looking forward to the learning opportunity,” says Narshvin. “My favourite part about IT consulting is interacting with clients to gain a deep understanding of their IT environment and challenges, and using what I’ve learned to recommend solutions.”
In his free time, Narshvin enjoys exploring new places. He is originally from Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean that’s best known as “paradise island.” Although he’s further from the water now, he’s found adventure in the nearby mountains and enjoys hiking and travelling with friends. You can also find Narshvin on the soccer field or the badminton court.
